Mummys Gold Casino Review

Unlike some of the other casinos I've reviewed, I've played at Mummys Gold before. But today, November 29, 2005, I've deposited a new $100 to try my luck, and to record my thoughts about my casino experience here. My goal is to double my money, and if I hit $200, I'm going to quit and cash out.

Software and Games

The software and games at Mummys Gold have so far been the best I've seen. The speed of the games seemed just about right: not too fast and not too slow. The table games and the slot machines were all realistic, and the sound effects were good.

Mummys Gold Table Games

The first game I played was blackjack. I lost every hand, but I only played about 6 hands. I didn't figure out how to stop betting $10 a bet until after I'd already lost about $30. But the results didn't seem unusual to me, and even if they had, I didn't play long enough to pick up on any unusual patterns anyway.

Then I played roulette. God help me, but I still use a Martingale system when I play. (Yes, I know it doesn't work, but I do it anyway.) I played $1 on red. Then $2. Then $4. Then $8. Hit black everytime. Finally I put $20 down on red to recoup my losses, and I hit red that time and walked away with a small win. Slot Machine Games

Then I tried a few spins on a slot machine called Wheel of Wealth. This is when the software at Mummys Gold really started to shine. The Microgaming slot machines are really impressive. I didn't play for long, because I couldn't seem to catch much of a win, and I never did get to spin the wheel. Still, it was a fun slot machine, as slot machines go.

I wanted to try Tunzamunni and/or King Cashalot, which I've heard a lot about but haven't played yet, but I couldn't find those games on the menu. I think it might be because I downloaded the software a long time ago. There was no "update software" option that I could find though.

I did play a few spins on the WowPot slot machine game, and it was as good looking and fun as Wheel of Wealth had been. I really think that Mummys Gold's strong suit is its slot machine game selection.

Supajax was the game I wrapped up with. Supajax is a progressive jacks or better video poker game. The jackpot today was a little over $20,000, so I figured what the hell. Why not? I was down to $67 or so when I started there, and I played $5 a bet. You would think that with only 13 full bets, I wouldn't have got to play very long, but I actually hit several small wins, and even got a couple of full houses.

As of this writing, I've scrutinized 3 casinos: Mummys Gold, Casino Webcam, and the Winward Casino. I would rank them in that order. Mummys Gold has been the best experience, followed by Casino Webcam. And Casino Webcam would probably have scored better if they offered more games, but I understand why they don't. And of course, I wasn't crazy about Winward Casino.

But I think Mummys Gold Casino is probably a pretty good casino at which to play if you're wanting to try out an online casino. The software was solid, the games were fun, and depositing money to play was easy. (I use NETeller.)
