Rio Casino Las Vegas to Host 2008 World Series of Poker Finale Again

Listen up online poker players. The World Series of Poker has announced the time and place of the 2008 WSOP championships. So if you want to be amongst the pack of players getting a fair cut of the multi-million dollar jackpot, now is the time to start logging into the poker room every day and seeking out as many satellite tournaments as you possibly can.

I know some people are probably thinking, "The odds of making it to the WSOP main event are pretty slim. Why should I even bother?" I agree there is a lot of tough competition out there. But I also know that if everybody thought that way, there would be no WSOP to begin with. I say shoot for the stars. Luck will always have a part of the game, so why not see if its gonna be your lucky day?

Of all the poker tournaments out there, the World Series of Poker finale is no doubt the largest and richest. The upcoming season has not been released just yet, but WSOP says to expect details on their homepage very soon. That's www.worldseriesofpoker.com and not www.wsop.com which is another site altogether. A little confusing if you ask me. Not sure why WSOP just doesn't buyout the owner of the domain, but maybe its because there is some kind of lawsuit going on?

But I digress. So, more details on the WSOP 2008 season to come. Oh ya - the main event. Guess where? Take a really, really, really good guess. How about where they always hold it? Yes folks, the Rio Las Vegas will be, yet again, the host for the main event, which is scheduled May 30 through July 17, 2008.  The Rio has already said they will be opening the Amazon Room On May 26, to make way for early registration and two special events.
