I don't know about everybody else, but I will never gamble at an online
casino if I first hear about it via spam. Even if the online casino is not
responsible for the spam, and is itself a very reputable and fair place to wager
money, I still won't go near it. I know this might be a little bull-headed of
me, however, I am sick of spam! I cannot tell you how much I despise spam -
especially when its deceiving and insulting to my intelligence.
Online casinos actually should be held responsible to a certain extent for
the spam that is done in their name. Like I said, although the casino itself may
not even know someone is spamming on their behalf, they should pay closer
attention to who their affiliates are and what they are up to. In case you
didn't know, the online casino gambling industry is teeming with affiliates. I
should know because I'm one of them. Affiliates are responsible for ensuring the
continued growth of the industry which they promote. Without them, the available
options for consumers/bettors would be slim. It's not that these options
wouldn't exist, but rather, that they would be very hard to find. And the
internet is a playground for online casino affiliates.
Affiliates are largely responsible for how large the online gambling industry
has become. Unfortunately, some affiliates are largely responsible for the spam
and blackhat marketing that online gambling has been tinged with to a certain
extent. These affiliates, who have been previously approved to promote an online
casino, turn around and start spam onslaughts and other shady dealings to get
their affiliate links out there in the hopes of making a quick buck.
This is where the casinos need to be more vigilant. Keep any eye on your
affiliates! While some sites probably secretly condone this type of activity, I
am here to say that it does more damage to your business than good. Online
gamblers are not stupid people. Nowadays, with so many more internet betting
options, gamblers are more selective about where they go to gamble. Anything
that comes in the form of spam is immediately suspect. Are you that dumb in
thinking I am going to trust wagering my money at your site after your name was
brought to my attention from a source who I don't even know. Especially when
it's an email with broken English, stereotypical phrases and flowery language.
I know this isn't your standard gambling news article per say, yet, I
consider it important and timely news. Why? Because I just got another one of
those stupid and annoying spam emails in my mail box! Let's see, what online
casino is it promoting? Ahh..Club World and Club USA Casino. What a shame
indeed. Sorry Club World. I won't play with you guys.
