2007Online Spades WebSite Resembles Full Functioning Online
Casino
I recently came across a pretty unique online gaming
site, specializing in spades. I'm not a huge spades fan, but I still
thought to myself that somebody who was really serious about playing
spades would dig this site. They're called Spadester.com, and
resemble a traditional online casino. They offer a free download of
their software directly from their site (a Flash version does not
appear to be available), and allow players to open a free play or
real money account.
When I visited their website, it said there were
currently over 4,350 players logged online and playing, which is
pretty impressive if you ask me. You won't find that many players
logged in at the same time at some of the online casinos out there.
Then again, I don't believe there are that many online gaming sites
which specialize in Spades either. Upon investigation their site
further, I do have to say that I am a little suspicious. Me
personally, I wouldn't wager my money there until they have some
more transparency on their website.
They say they are rated by the Internet Content
Rating Association (ICRA), which means they are doing something to
protect minors from gambling online. However, I couldn't find
anything about licensing and regulation. This actually makes me
wonder how accurate their claim of having 4,350 logged online really
is. The only thing I could find is that Spadester is owned and
operated by a company called Time Control in Cyprus.
The software apparently offers three different
versions of Spades, including Individual, Cutthroat and Partnership.
Players can open their own rooms and even set the amount of points
for determining when a game is over. Normally, Spades is played
until someone reaches a point total from 200 to 500. I hear Spades
is a fun and social game. If you are not familiar with how to
player, Spadester publishes a rules section that looks very
informative. I would just personally call them up, do some digging
if you will, and inquire where they are licensed and if they are
audited.
