Everest Casino just finished up a promotion called Arabian Nights, which was
apparently a ploy to get players to gamble more. I don't mean that as a bad
thing. That's just what it is right?
Every online casino has some kind of ploy
to encourage players to bet more money. I don't mind when online casinos offer
promotion incentives to players. What irks me is when they market it as some
free contest or as an advertising device not truly representing what the
promotion entailes. I'm not saying Everest Casino did that, although they did use
some flowery language in their press release. Anyways, I'm just probably jealous
I didn't win the promo right?
That's certainly a possibility, because an all-expenses paid trip to Dubai
sounds pretty good to me. Called the "crown jewel" of the United Arab Emirates,
Dubai is certainly a vacation that's on my to-do-lists in this lifetime. Or
maybe not. I don't know. It sounds great, but then again, so does Key Largo.
Speaking of which, if you ever visit Key Largo, stay at the Marriott. Although
they're on the river side, they have their own tropical beach and offer a
peaceful, beautiful setting. Another tangent! Ahhhh!
Back to online casino gambling. Or wait, was it online poker. Everest
Casino, oh yes. So the Arabian Nights promotion ended up going to some
player from Japan, who will now receive roundtrip airfare, luxury accommodations
at a world-class hotel and some spending money. The way it worked is that every
time a player wagered $250 during the month of September, he or she would
receive a free entry into the promotion drawing.
I know this isn't going to do
you any good for this promotion, but I tell you anyways because Everest says
they are going to be throwing more promotions like this in the near future. I'll
try to report on it before the fact, but that depends on if I'm vacationing in
Dubai. Less players means more entry's for me. (Cue diabolical yet harmless evil
laugh).
