Alright now, Ultimate Bet better slow down or they're gonna give away too
much money. Wouldn't that be such a travesty? I wasn't in on the action myself,
but I just read that Ultimate Bet's current high jackpot has reached over
$200,000. This seems to be a growing pattern at Ultimate Bet, where just a
couple of days ago they divvied out a $330,000 jackpot to nineteen players.
Okay wait, did I say bad beat? Well as cheesy as it sounds, I meant to say
good beat. $390,000 to make up for losses! If you could see me right now my eyes
are wide open and I'm leaning in real close to the computer screen making sure I
actually just read that. Like I said, I haven't been in on the action at
Ultimate Bet and so I dropped by to pay them a visit.
I have to say that I am very impressed with Ultimate Bet overall. Of course
the first thing that greets you is a smiling Phil Helmuth flashing a pair of
nines. The website looks real sharp, which for me, says something about the
software. I don't know about you, but I know that nine out of ten online casinos
(I don't know how accurate nine out of ten is - why do we say that just like its
some phrase?)...anyways, nine out of ten online casinos that have great
websites, also have great software platforms.
So, besides their website, Ultimate is also a good place for freerolls,
regular tournaments, and as I already mentioned, large jackpots. I also like how
their payout system works, which is designed to spread jackpot money to more
players, rather than all the players sitting at the final table. If a players
loses a hand with four eights or better, 65% of the jackpot is divided amongst
bad beat jackpot players, while 25% goes to the next pot and 10% goes to
Ultimate Bet. Unlike a traditional jackpot, the way the bad beat jackpot is
built up is by putting $0.50 from qualifying bad beat hands to the jackpot until
somebody loses on a pair of fours or better.
