First Ever Asian Casino Affiliate Convention Coming up in Macau

I don't know about you, but being an online gambling affiliate myself, me ears perked up somewhat when I heard there was going to be an Asian Casino Affiliate Convention in Macau - the first of its kind. Affiliate conventions are not that uncommon. The affiliate networking group, Casino Affiliate Programs - more commonly referred to as CAP - has thrown some great parties over the years in places like the Bahamas and Barcelona - usually in conjunction with other conventions like CAC.

Casino Affiliate Conventions (CAC) is the largest niche convention for affiliates in the online gambling industry. They used to host some great conventions in Vegas, but ever since the UIGEA passed they've been playing it safe and setting up conventions in surrounding areas, like Amsterdam and Moscow (I suppose that's "surrounding" enough). Macau will mark the first year venturing into the Asian gambling market. And now is as good a time as any, considering the market is supposedly opening up.

Everyone knows the land-based casino gambling industry in Macau is exploding. The online Asian gaming market is another story. I have no clue about the opportunities of doing business there, but obviously there is potential if an affiliate convention is going to be held there. So far, there are some pretty big speakers scheduled, including Mor Weizer (CEO from Playtech, who has apparently already gotten a good footing in Asia), and Johyn Ryott, who is the Affiliate Director of Victor Chandler Gaming. What is old VC up to anyways? Last I heard he was pseudo-arrested somewhere. That sounds like a good follow up news article.

Anyways, the Macau Casino Affiliate Convention is about four weeks away. It is scheduled for November 28-29, 2007 at the recently constructed Venetian Casino and Hotel in Macau. The registration deadline for the convention, which can be found at CasinoAffiliateConventions.com, is on November 22, 2007. Next year in June, CAC will be traveling to Moscow. I hope its summertime over there.
