Poland's New Stance: 2
Online casinos in legislation issues have gone hand-in-hand for quite some time
now. So it is no surprise that one of country changes their legislations in
regards to online casinos and the Internet gambling industry that there is
usually a bit of an uproar. For a country like the United States who was given a
grace period by the European Union to comply with their trade agreements demands
like this are nothing to joke about. If the United States failed to comply with
the European union the commission would then take their case to the World Trade
Organization. Sure there have been other countries that have had similar
situations of the United States but most of them have moved towards solving the
issue in complying with the European Union. Countries like France, Italy and
Spain are just some of those countries who have been asked to look at and comply
with the regulations of the European Union.
Those countries have either resolve their issues with the European Union and the
online casino industry or they are currently in the process of changing their
Internet gambling laws. Where Poland comes in is that their officials have been
discussing a ban throughout the country of any gambling. This announcement came
directly after there was a scandal in their government. The ban on online
casinos and Internet gambling would definitely hurt the only casino companies
that are running legally in the country's better in the European Union. The
legislation changes and Poland have not yet been set in stone, but we have to
stay tuned to see exactly what will happen to them.
