Playtech Revenue Soars: 1

The online casino software provider, Playtech, has some very good news to report and that is that they are doing very well this year. The most recent reports from the folks at Playtech reveal that the online casino game developer and designer posted their numbers for 2008 through March 19, 2009 which were very favorable for them. The online casino software developer had such an increase in revenue due to its newest mobile gaming sector, which is a huge trend in online casinos. The financial highlights of the year include an increase in revenue of 70 percent. Sixty eight percent of that is owed to their online casinos and online poker rooms.

The online casino’s revenue was up to €111.5 million, which is definitely very impressive. The online casino software provider also announced that their operational highlights that they produced this year were also very profitable. One deal that they acquired this year that added to their profitability was their partnership with William Hill and their online casinos. Playtech now provides the online poker software for the very popular British online casino. That alone is not the reason why they had such a success filled year. The fifteen new license agreements that were acquired this year may have had something to do with it. Two of those license agreements were high profile online casinos, Betsson and Vista Global Limited.

Playtech has been doing very well this past year, not even in comparison to the economy, they are just flat out doing really well. Playtech can owe a portion of the past year’s success to gaining access into the Italian market which was not previously available to online casinos.
