Utah Transit Laws

The Utah Transit Authority has made a decision that will affect every person in their state. The judgment made by the organization is that they think that anyone who plays online casino games on their mobile phone is no better than someone visiting a pornography website. This group has been notorious for acting as a moral compass for the people of Utah, for better or for worse. Surely visiting an online casino is not the same as visiting a pornography website, but according to them it is no different. They have recently released an announcement that says anyone who is traveling with wireless Internet service whether that be on a computer or on a wireless device and accesses an online casino or internet gambling website will be cited a fine of up to $500.

That is right, anyone who accesses an online casino from anywhere in Utah can face up to a $500 fine. That is currently the fine that is given to people of the State that access pornography sites using their wireless devices. There are many people that support this decision in the state of Utah. Their argument is that Internet service providers that provide their services to the state of Utah on the transit services free of charge. They feel like they should be able to control the sites that are accessed on their transit systems and do not see anything wrong with what they have done. The Authority has even announced that there will be people that will inspect and monitor suspect users and they will have the right to fine them on the spot.
