Killer Not Linked to Gambling: 1

As we mentioned in earlier articles, one online casino reporter, Thomas Somach, claimed that there was a link between the Holocaust Museum killer and internet gambling. After much criticism, there seems to be a resolution to this story. The 88 year old man that was responsible for the shooting, James von Brunn, was also a former soldier for the US military and a white supremacist. Von Brunn was at the Washington D.C. Holocaust Museum where he shot and killed Stephen T. Johns, a 39 year old security guard and injured two others in the process. The man who gunned down the security guard and two others in front of the memorial for the Jews murdered by the Nazis in World War 2 also had a website where he published his rants and raves about many anti-Semitic and racist things was liked to online casinos after an article written by Somach.

Somach is not only a writer for the online casino site, Pokerhelp.com, but he is also the owner. The claims that he made were saying that Von Brunn’s website was linked to a popular online casino because there was a link to it on his site. The website that he operated from his home in Annapolis contained links to the online casino, Casino Tropez. From there the reporter made claims that there was a movement of white supremacy in online casinos and internet gambling. The website that was run by the 88 year old white supremacist was definitely racist and anti-Semitic but in no way was it linked directly to the whole of the online casino industry.
