Change Coming to America: 2

There is another politician who has been very important in the fight to keep online casino play legal in the United States. Spencer Bacchus is one of those individuals that has been on the corner for the online casinos. He actually recently said that the Republicans tricked their way into making the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act pass in 2006. That bill was a small foot note that was attached to a port security bill that needed to be passed. The general view on that move made by the Republicans was that it was just about as low of a move that they could have made. It seems irresponsible that something so unrelated to the online casino industry like port security would be the Bill that brought it down in the United States.

Bacchus has not wanted to speak out as much as he has recently but he believes strongly in his cause. He is a Republican but he admits that they will not be able to quickly get rid of this issue like they did in 2006. The support for online casinos and internet gambling is growing at a steady and rapid pace both in the United States and world wide. There is not much that can be done about the public opinion towards online casinos and internet gambling as it seems to be growing in approval ratings. Frank’s bill has received thirty four co sponsors so far. This is becoming a huge bi partisan group that is led by Frank himself. The people of the United States are becoming more and more agitated with the government’s stance on online casinos and internet gambling.
