Safety Concerns Rise
There has been a rise in concern from players in online casinos and internet
gambling sites. Some players have become increasingly more concerned about how
safe their money is after the latest streak of cheating scandals and government
raids. A recent survey that was conducted by a European online casino operator
revealed the biggest concerns of online casino players in their region. The
biggest concerns for online casino players are the safety of their deposits and
their winnings. The online casino industry has been attacked by governments of
different countries which has lead to many scandals. Online casino players have
taken note of these instances and want to make sure that their money is safe in
their accounts and that the payment processes are as safe as they have ever
been.
A poll done by Betfair revealed that only about a third of the online casino
players in the United Kingdom were aware of the seizures that took place in the
United States recently. As far as how many online casino players in the United
States knew about the events that transpired, that would be about half of the
players. With all of those numbers 60 percent of them consider themselves very
worried about their money and the status of their accounts. Players had a chance
to respond to a poll that was based on their concerns on cheating in online
casinos and their poker rooms. The lack of regulation in a lot of these regions
has lead to even more concern from the government.
Sherman Bradley is the gambling analyst for Online Casino Advisory and he says,
“The US government has told citizens online casinos are unsafe havens for their
money, and then done its best to prove it by seizing the money and acting as the
primary danger." About 76 percent of online casino players in the United States
have changed their online poker accounts to different online casinos in order to
try to avoid the whole mess that is going on with the seizures of online poker
money in the United States.
