US Online Casino Progress: 1

The United States has been debating the upcoming decisions of the online casino industry for a long time. The economic crisis in the United States is obviously going to take priority in the Government versus the legalizing of online casinos. The other hurdle in the fight for legalization of online casinos and internet gambling sites is that the biggest ally that the online casino industry has in its corner is the head of the US House Financial Services Committee. A section of the government which is clearly busy fixing the economy and clearly has to put the online casino industry and all of the issues that surround that issue on the back burner to give way for more important issues to be dealt with in a timely manner. The head of the committee is none other than the Representative Barney Frank.

Representative Barney Frank has been the biggest source of hope for online casinos and the internet gambling industry for a long time. He has presented several bills over the years but has never really received a good response. This time the response has grown tremendously from the other people in the House and in Congress. He introduced a lot of different type of legislation that would put an end to all of the laws that were put into place because of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006. The bill is called HR 2267 and it has a plan that would lay out exactly how the online casino industry could be legalized and regulated in the United States.
