Online Gambling to Expand: 2
The newest deal that has been the focus of the online casino industry is that of
Paf and Net Entertainment. Net Entertainment has been around in the name of
online casinos since 1996 which is way longer than a lot of internet based
companies can claim. This company in particular has been a force in the gaming
market and they even have about 160 employees dedicated to advancing and
innovating the internet gaming industry. While innovating internet gaming the
online casinos and internet gambling sites that use their services will also
benefit from their technological advances. This agreement has been in the works
for a while now and was even announced in March of 2009. The details of this
deal had not been released until now.
The new deal that was signed between Paf and net Entertainment will definitely
benefit Paf by allowing them to expand their business into the Nordic market
which is just around the Baltic Sea. The entrance into that market would mean
that Paf would be competing in one of the largest online casino operating
regions in that part of the world. The terms of the deal state that Paf will use
the downloadable and the browser based version of the Net Entertainment game of
Casino Module. This will mean that the online casinos associated with Paf will
have the full suite of casino games and the same administration tools that they
are used to. The potential that this agreement has is very exciting.
The online casino industry is excited about this new deal. The Chief Executive
Officer for Net Entertainment, Johan Öhman said, "The countries around the
Baltic Sea are a large and important market for online gaming yet controlled by
a handful of operators where Paf is one of the largest." Chief Executive Officer
of Paf, Lars Porko said, "We have made an important and strategic decision in
choosing Net Entertainment as partner for our online casino operation in order
to succeed with our internationalisation ambition."
