The second piece of legislation that Barney Frank has brought forth to the law makers in the United States is one that would really affect online casinos. The online gambling industry has been waiting for a law maker to submit a Bill like this one. The Bill is titled H.R. 2267 and it is proposing a plan to legalize and regulate internet gambling in the United States. The legalization and regulation would include the online casino industry, poker, bingo and any other form of internet gambling. This time around the bill is receiving a whole lot of support from law makers. That support is definitely something that Rep. Barney Frank is not used to getting, as last time that he introduced a Bill to legalize online casinos, he was not received so well by the fellow law makers in Washington D.C.

The general thought of people in and out of Washington is that this Bill is going to be a hard one to stop. Online casinos and internet gambling fans in the United States are becoming more vocal about the fact that they feel that they have a right to choose what they should spend their time and money on. One person that wants to stand in the way of Rep. Barney Frank is Rep. Spencer Bacchus who is one of the Republicans that had a huge helping hand in the pushing through of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act in 2006. He was actually one of the people that snuck it into the must pass port security Bill. Rep. Bacchus believes that people on both sides of the aisle will be ready to fight for the standing of online casinos in the United States.
