Representative Barney Frank has been a sort of savior for the online casino industry and the online poker world as well. Recently Representative Barney Frank stood in front of the over 1700 poker players that he is representing. This past Sunday Rep. Frank addressed the online casino and online poker players and told them almost exactly what they wanted to hear. He told them that they deserve the right to be able to play at online casinos and that right should be protected. He said that online gambling and online poker are within their rights in the United States and those are rights that have to be protected no matter what. Frank was in his element while he was delivering this message to the people at the World Series of Poker event that took place last weekend.

This seemed to be the perfect place for Rep. Barney Frank to discuss what the current state of the online casino and internet gambling site’s status. The setting probably was not very conducive to having many opposing opinions on the matter but it was a well thought out speech that was delivered by the number one ally for the online casino and internet gambling industries. The fact that he was there at the World Series of Poker is also a pretty big deal. He was able to see first hand exactly how much poker is important to people and that his efforts are actually appreciated by the people. Americans care about the game of poker and want their right to play online like every other free country.

There were some avid online casino players at the event who shared their excitement for online casinos and the online poker legalization. Brian Grat was one of the players there. Grat said, "This was an exciting event today. Representative Frank has been such a hero to all of us online casino players, and his presence at the WSOP is just uplifting. Hopefully he was inspired enough to move quickly with his legislation."
