Warning Released for Poker Players
The Cake Poker online casino recently had some problems with one of its
affiliates which was a new skin on their network called CardSpike.com. There
have been claims that the website was backed up by a matter of months in paying
out the players of its online casinos. The claims and complaints began surfacing
in November of 2008 and have been the topic of discussion in message boards and
blogs in many online caisno news websites. Some of the more well known and
respected venues that reported issues with the website was Nat Arem’s blog and 2
+ 2 message board. Arem’s blog is normally a great source for avid online poker
players to get advice and learn about the latest news regarding their favorite
online casinos. Except for this time, the claims appear to not be true.
Arem posted a blog recently on his website warning fellow players to be aware of
the lackluster service being provided by the online casino payout website
CardSpike.com. He warned Cake Poker users to not use the Card Spike services but
instead use any one of the other trusted websites listed on the Cake Poker
website. Card Spike had allegedly been behind on paying out players for months
now. The blogger avidly told his readers to use other rakeback operators from
the Cake Poker or Players Only sites. The players who are supposed to be paid
are fighting to be paid through an affiliate of CardSpike, the Effective Media
program. To be fair to both sides, Arem was only doing his job and making sure
that players were aware of the hassles that other players had with the rakeback
website from the online casinos.
If the claims turn out to be true and players have not received money from the
online casino pay out site, Card Spike, then there will be consequences for the
website. For those who did not read Arem’s original blog, he announced: "I want
to make everyone aware, that, if you do sign up for a Cake Poker network
rakeback account, do NOT do it at CardSpike. CardSpike is a rogue skin on the
Cake Poker network that has been delaying making payouts for months now." It
should make players at online casinos feel a little bit safer that they have an
ally like Arem.
