This Takes the ‘Cake’
As we have previously reported to you on the Cake Network and CardSpike
controversy, apparently the online casino network is still generating plenty of
buzz in the chat room and message board world that is the internet. The latest
that is coming out of this ever growing story is that the Cake Poker Network has
said that the skin in which they suggested their players use, CardSpike, has
since been taken down from the Cake Poker Network’s website. The online casino
claims that all of the users who are owed money from this ordeal will be paid
and they are currently keeping a close eye on the website and going deeper and
deeper into investigating the claims.
A lot of online casinos belong to a certain network called the Casino Affiliate
Programs and Poker Affiliate Programs which generally stand by the online casino
in question. The spokesperson for the two programs, Lou Fabiano said that he
denies any accusations made towards the owners of CardSpike. The only problem
with that is that it may raise some eyebrows because it may not be completely
ethical that he make these statements in public. It is perfectly legal for an
organization to stand behind one of its members. Fabiano has been in the public
eye for some time and is even called ‘The Professor’. He knows the games of
online casinos and is great at working the press. He told the newspaper that
CardSpike is not managed or controlled at all by the Affiliate Media, CAP, PAP,
Warren Jolly, or himself.
He was quick to shoot down anything that seemed untrue and damaging to the
reputation of the online casino skin. Fabiano closed the interview with, "CAP,
PAP, Affiliate Media, Warren Jolly, Lou "The Professor" Fabiano and all other
personnel of CAP have absolutely no ownership interest, no profits interest and
no beneficial interest whatsoever in Cardspike. Any statements or malicious
rumors to the contrary are untrue and unfair."
