More Criticism on Expose: 1

There are more people at the Toronto Sun criticizing the Sixty Minutes Expose and the latest article was released by written Chris Tessaro. The writer commented on the program in the editorial section of the newspaper. The piece was basically about the fact that the Sixty minutes show said that online casinos and online poker are completely illegal in the United States and Canada. The editorial writer commented on the piece of information that seemingly slipped through the cracks at the programs’ fact checking department. He added that the show usually prides itself on the ability to shock and reveal, however this time they may have slipped up by repeatedly saying that playing poker at an online casino is illegal.

The editorial writer goes on to clarify that online casino poker play is not illegal in the United States. He says that the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act does not allow the transferring of money from a US source to an online casino. He says that the program was misleading to the viewers who are not as aware of the United States gambling regulations, at least when online casinos are involved. The writer says that online poker is not illegal and it is only illegal for banks to be able to transfer funds to an online casino. He continues by saying that if players find a legal way to get their money to their chosen internet poker website then it is perfectly legal for them to participate in that activity, he also added that Canada has no such rules as well.
