Big Money Equals Big Players
Online casino and online poker players do not often back down when there is an
opportunity to win in a high stakes game, this tournament is no exception. We
reported in an earlier article that the online poker ace Tom ‘durrr’ Dwan
challenged anyone who thought that they are better than him and if they were to
win he would give them $1.5 million. According to Poker Road Radio some of the
top online poker players have picked up the challenge thrown down by Dwan. Among
those players who are regulars at online casinos are: David Benyamine, Phil
Ivey, Patrik Antonius, and Barry Greenstein. The first of the players who will
take the big bad “durrr” Dwan on will likely be Benyamine, the game will be
hosted by the online casino for all to behold.
The online casino challenge began when Dwan said in an interview that he would
put down $1.5 million against any other player’s $500,000. This would also
require that the players play simultaneously on four tables at the online casino
in a heads up challenge where the minimum stakes would be $200 to $400. The
remainders of the rules for the challenge to win Dwan’s 1.5 million are pretty
simple. The players will both have to play at the very minimum 50,000 hands. If
the player who challenged Dwan finishes those hands with as little as a dollar
more than he started with then he gets to keep the $1.5 Million. Now, on the
other hand, if ‘durrr’ ends up ahead after the 50,000 hands then he gets to keep
the opponent’s $500,000.
This online casino tournament will definitely be one to watch. All of these
players have played each other in various online casinos, but nothing has been
as high stakes as this. This gives each player a great idea about what their
opponent’s strengths and weaknesses are. This is sure to make one of the most
exciting online poker tournaments that have been played in a very long time.
