New Ad from Camelot Lottery
A new ad recently released by the Camelot national lottery in the United Kingdom
has made the suggestion for people to take more risks doing everyday things.
Their first commercial for the online casino features a couple sitting in a car
bundled up because it is snowing outside. Their car is parked right next to the
beach and before you know it, they jump out of their car and begin to fling off
their clothing and jump into the freezing water. While they are jumping into the
icy waves the online casino’s slogan appears, “This is for those who would
rather give it a go… than never know.” The commercial is ser to run until
January 3, 2009 and pick back up in mid January through February.
The folks over at Abbot Mead Vickers, BBDO agency created a great advertisement
for the Camelot national lottery’s online casinos. Since the first commercial in
the campaign has been received favorably by online casino players and television
viewers alike, they will continue to produce commercials featuring normal people
doing everyday activities but take the online casino’s ‘give it a go’ attitude.
The commercial will surely attract more people because of its playful nature.
The director of the Camelot brand’s marketing team and also the e-commerce
director, Ailsa McKnight told the website Brand Republic that: “By portraying
everyday situations where people give it a go, the new campaign has proved
popular with players and viewers alike.”
Online casinos often have eye catching advertisements to get players to go to
their website. Lottery websites are no different. The United Kingdom had less
strict rules on what industry can advertise on television. Online casino
advertisers are limited to online advertisements for the most part in the United
States due to certain regulations. It is always good when a new website gets
