US Gambling Decisions
The United States online casinos were hoping that a quick decision would be made
regarding legislation for the online casino industry soon after the new
president was sworn in. The new administration may have a few more important
things to worry about than the issues of online casinos, like maybe the economy
and the war. So as we now know online casino and gambling regulations will be
put on the back burner. The other way to look at the Unites States gambling
decision is that the Obama administration will be looking for quick ways to gain
tax revenue and maybe legalizing and taxing online casinos would be an answer
for that dilemma.
The odds are not for the online casino industry in the sense that across the
board acceptance may never happen. The only way that the new administration will
legalize the online casinos in the United States is if they really see a need to
legalize the already lucrative industry. One of the big reasons that the
government of the United States put a ban on money transfers to online casinos
is because the money was going into off shore companies. The problem with the
internet gambling ban is that it did not stop people from gambling online, it
just made the players go ‘underground’ or secretly playing. There are countless
websites on the internet dedicated to showing proof that there are millions of
people who want to see online casinos legalized again in the United States.
The European way seems to be working, not to say that their online casino
industry does not have its own share of problems. Their online casinos are
pushing to get better technology and move into different aspects of the industry
such as mobile gaming. The current administration of the United States has some
big decisions to make, the one that concerns online casinos just may take a
while.
