Protecting Youth from Gambling: 2
Trend Micro recently released their latest version of their ever popular
internet security program. The 2009 version of this program fives the average
consumer even more control of how safe they want their internet experience to
be. Parents of teenagers will love the newest features available to them. It
seems like teenagers now a days just want to spend all of their time online. So
with the new Trend Micro Advanced Parental Control Software parents will not
only be able to control what websites their child can access, but they will be
able to control when their child can go online and for how long they will be
able to stay on the internet. Gone are the days where parents need to fear that
their child will access an online casino or an adult website. As long as the
parental controls are set and the child accesses the internet only through that
computer the threat of them gambling at online casinos diminishes to nothing.
There are many choices for the parent who fear that their child will access an
online casino on their computer. There are different levels of security- Child,
Teenager, Adult, and none. Or you can completely customize the experience on the
internet. Parents will be in complete control of which website their child can
access too, which may spark some evil grins. Perhaps the best feature that this
new software provides is that children will not be able to give out any of their
private information on the internet such as their address or phone number. They
also will not be able to use any credit card numbers at all, which may give the
parent the piece of mind that they won’t be receiving a huge bill from multiple
online casinos. The biggest question is whether software like this will help
lift the current ban on internet gambling in the United States.
