Poker Victory in Kentucky: 1
John Pappas is a very happy man right now. The Executive Director of the Poker
Players Alliance recently released a statement claiming that their recent
victory in the state of Kentucky meant that freedom on the internet will soon
come for the online casino industry. The state of Kentucky was responsible for
seizing over 141 domains of alleged poker sites or online casinos. The reason
why John Pappas is shouting victory from the roof tops is because the Court of
Appeals for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the Franklin Circuit Court Division
II came to the conclusion that they would overturn all of the 141 seizures of
the internet gambling website domains.
It has been said that there are over 130 thousand players that actively play
poker in the state of Kentucky alone. So Pappas has been leading the crusade to
fight for those players and players of any online casino game all over the
United States. It should not go without saying that the Poker Players Alliance
and its relentless leader John Pappas had a lot to do with the victory in the
state of Kentucky. This victory shows us that persistence pays off.
Now will they be able to so as well fighting in the national level? We will have
to wait to see what happens in that instance. The Poker Players Alliance will
not be able to take on the government big wigs alone. They will need the help of
the organizations that backed them up during the Kentucky case like:
sportsinteraction.com, mysportsbook.com, sbglobal.com, sportsbook.com and many
more online casino powerhouses. Poker may be better off than the online casinos,
but only time will tell.
