Increased Gambling in Balkan States: 2
The Balkan states may be a good place for investors to look at due to their
increase in online casino popularity and their revenue increases from licensing.
The Media and Entertainment Consulting Network recently released a report that
revenue in the Balkan states in online casinos has seen an increase since its
last report. The information was gathered by interviewing over 90 online casino
operators and marketing experts. The estimated value of the current online
casino market according to the Media and Entertainment Consulting Network in the
Balkan states is Euro 4.5 billion. The information used to determine that number
is mostly coming from sports gambling and less dependent on the online casino,
which only means that there is room for that industry to grow in that market.
Currently, the leading provider of internet gambling and gaming in the Balkan
States is a company that is based out of Greece, called Intralot. Intralot has
provided the Balkan online casinos with some of their best gaming systems with
state of the art graphics and gaming advances. They are also credited with
providing great service along with great network integration, top of the line
game content and secure transaction processing. Their company services over 40
countries and has subsidiaries five continents across the world and has offices
in each country. The online casino industry is sure to grow even larger than it
already has, with the 43 million Internet users all over the world and with over
7 million having a high speed or broadband connection, the possibilities seem
endless.
Studies like this are seen by experts, sixty percent of them, as a hope that
online casinos will soon be properly legalized and regulated to benefit all
parties involved. The Balkan states are remaining positive that the online
casino industry will be good for their economy. Although Turkey and Greece are
currently under a monopoly and have huge legal obstacles to overcome before the
market leaders will be able to compete fairly in the capitalistic sense of
business. The only Balkan states that have yet to be tapped into are those of
the Romanians, Bulgarians, Slovenians, and the Croatians. Once they are on board
profits of the online casino industry will surely soar.
