Aziz Calls Meeting: 1
The former Chief Executive Officer for CryptoLogic, Ltd. Javaid Aziz recently
called a meeting for the online casino software providers’ shareholders meeting.
The only thing wrong with is that he is no longer in charge of the company. Aziz
has demanded this extraordinary meeting with his former shareholders after his
position was filled by Brian Hadfield in February of 2008. Aziz only had the
position as Chief Executive Officer of Crypto Logic for less than a year. He
replaced Lewis Rose after he retired in April of 2007. During the time that Aziz
was in charge they seemed to show a loss in revenue when compared to the period
of time when Rose served as the company’s leader.
Cryptologic has not taken the demands of their former leader very lightly. They
are now in the process of fighting him and Cede & Co claiming that Aziz has not
met his requirements which would allow for him to call for a shareholders
meeting. The company also went on to add that Aziz has also violated several
terms of his severance payment agreement since he has been relieved from his
position as head of the online casino software provider. There are hundreds of
online casinos that get their software from Crypto Logic and they take their
business very seriously. The company has made many moves in the past year, not
only with a new Chief Executive Officer but with a new home for its
headquarters. Their main offices moved from their home in Toronto Canada to
Dublin Ireland.
