Aussie Critics Deem Gambling ‘Unethical’: 1

The heat from the Australian sun is beaming its glare onto the online casino industry as it has become a hot topic once again. Apparently there have been online casinos and their respective agencies that have been giving away millions of dollars worth of ‘free’ bets. This promotion is supposed to lure players into their websites and wager money that they other wise may have not spent at the internet gambling website. Since the online casinos began this promotion, critics were quick to say that the actions of these websites are ‘unethical’. There is a ban in some states in Australia that says that it is illegal to induce players with financial offerings near poker machines.
The online casinos do not think that there is anything wrong with their current promotion and stand by their decision and even said that it is a long standing practice in the online casino industry. The online gambling websites, have sent out emails to their online customers, about 13 thousand of them to be exact. The patrons claim that the email offered the players a $10.00 gambling credit if they indeed renewed their subscription to their online casino. The online casino that offered the $10.00 credit was the Centrebet and their offer was among the smallest in value in comparison to the other online casinos in the market. Some were even offering their customers as much as $200.00 in free bets just for re subscribing to their services. This is what the critics have a problem with, the strings attached to their offer.
