AiG Expo has Impressive Guest List
Later this month, the seventh annual Asian iGaming Congress and Expo will take
place in Macau. The official dates of the online casino event will be February
24, 2009 until February 26, 2009. Macau is a Special Administrative Region of
the People’s Republic of China and has been since December 20th of 1999. It was
also the first settlement in the Far East that was settled by Europe. There was
an agreement signed in 1987 that made Macau its own region. So in these respects
Macau has a lot of control in their own government decisions, besides those of
defense and foreign affairs. The online casino industry has looked to Macau as a
gate way to Chinese business. Online casinos have been opened up in the area in
a controlled manner since 2001.
The territory of Macau has attracted billions of dollars in investment which
helped turn it into a world power in the online casino industry. In 2006 the
territory even had a greater revenue than that of the whole Las Vegas strip.
Over 500 participants attended last year’s AiG and hopefully the turn out will
be just as spectacular. Online casinos will be at the forefront of the iGaming
Congress especially because of all of the advances in mobile online casinos and
live dealing websites. The conference will be a great place for Asian online
casinos to re establish themselves as powerhouses in their industry. The
conference will be hosted at the Venetian Macao Resort and Hotel again this
year.
The guest list for the Asian iGaming Congress and Expo is very impressive,
Online casino heavy hitters will be in attendance like the Chief Executive
Officer of Spin 3, Matti Zinder and also the President of PhilWeb, Dennis
Valdes. The shows are expected to do quite well this year. In fact the tickets
have already sold out and it seems that everyone in the gambling industry from
online casinos to the land based casinos are looking forward to presenting their
newest technologies and hopefully being inspired by the innovations of their
peers.
