February 1, 2008 - Microgaming Software has been given a "Best Software" award at the recent CAP
awards, which was held at the prestigious Chelsea Football Club in England. For
anybody unfamiliar with CAP (Casino Affiliate Programs), they are the leading
affiliate program directory for the online gambling community. Considering how
many affiliates actively participate in their forums, not to mention the casinos
themselves, an award from CAP is as good as awards come.
Microgaming's CEO, Roger Raatgever, expressed these very same sentiments when
responding to the news that Microgaming was bestowed with the accolade.
Raatgever said that Micrgaming is "delighted" to receive the award, because it
represents the affiliate community at large. Mr. Raatgever sure is a smart man
because it is indeed true that without affiliates, many of Microgaming's online
casino licensees would be down some players. In fact, without affiliates, there
would hardly be as many reputable online casinos as there are today.
Much credit is certainly given to Microgaming for continuing to push the
online gambling industry forward and raise the level of regulatory standards
that we now see on a widespread basis. I personally am not surprised at all that
my fellow affiliates have grown keen to Microgaming. Besides the level of
security and reliability their online casinos provide, the graphics are some of
the best in the world.
The nominations for the awards took place over a three month time period via
Casino Affiliate Programs popular website, magazine and mail-in forms.
Affiliates from around the world participated in the voting. And if you couldn't
tell already, this is probably one of my most boring news articles to date.
Maybe I was trying to temper my own gushiness with a little bit of objectivity.
Hey, if there's anything the online casino gambling industry needs these days,
it's more objectivity. There...I feel better now.
