More Support for Frank: 2

The recent interest in Rep. Barney Frank’s bill that will legalize and regulate online casinos in the United States has caused a lot of discussions. The latest people to join the co sponsorship have added to the grand total of sponsors for the bill which means that the total is at 47. With the sponsorships for this bill increasing, it is going to be increasingly harder for this bill not to go through. This new is certainly going to excite online casino players who have been waiting for that news to come since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was passed in 2006. The controversy surrounding that topic has not yet dwindled. Players of online casinos have not yet forgotten how the UIGEA was passed as a footnote to a must pass port security bill.

The United States has gone through a lot with the United Nations as far as the damages that the UIGEA has caused to the world economy. The online casino industry suffered greatly from losing one of their biggest markets so suddenly in 2006. Now the support that is coming from the state representatives is probably largely due to the fact that online casino players from all over the Untied States have taken the time to write in to their local representatives in order to demand their support on this issue. One of the big events that may have recently ignited more support is the seizure of the millions of dollars in poker winnings in New York. Many large organizations associated with online casinos like the Poker Players Alliance have already had a great response to their petition and have gotten an impressive amount of funds to support their cause.
