eCOGRA Disputes Lessen: 3

The players who try to take advantage of online casinos like that claim that they have done nothing wrong and have not violated any terms or conditions previously agreed to by the player and the online casino. Then again, a lot of player will say that they never read the terms and conditions so therefore they are not in the wrong because they were not aware that they were doing anything wrong to begin with. That is definitely where eCOGRA comes in. Tex Rees reported that in the year 2008 the total of reports that were actually handled as deputes by eCOGRA were 743. The number of total reports filed against online casinos in 2008 actually went down from the number in 2007 which was at a high 783.

The people at eCOGRA are predicting that if the 2009 year of disputes remains at the current pace that it is going at then by the end of the year the total online casino disputes should be down to 580. That would be a huge deal if the disputes number went down because that would mean that there are less online casinos that are trying to get away with shady dealings that have plagued the internet gambling industry. The reason that eCOGRA was founded was to provide the players of online casinos protection and make sure that all games were being run in a fair manner, treated fairly, paid in a timely manner and that there be responsible behavior from the operator’s end. There is only one thing that is for sure, make sure that if you are going to gamble away your money to check and see that they are accredited by eCOGRA, they are always going to be on the look out and on the defense for the player. But only if the claims are credible.
