eCOGRA Disputes Lessen: 2

The eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance has released quite interesting facts about the complaints that they have received in the first quarter of 2009. There were a total of 145 disputes that were filed with them that lead to an investigation. Seventy five of those involved cash in investigations for an online casino. Locked accounts took up a large portion of the complaints coming in at a total of 30 disputes. There were even complaints about bonuses that were either not received in full or not received, that number came to a total of 27 complaints. The remaining fifteen complaints were various issues that were not any one topic in particular like the afore mentioned. As we previously mentioned all of the online casinos that were investigated were all accredited by eCOGRA.

Tex Rees is in charge of the organization and he was basically overseeing all of the investigations making sure that they were all done fairly. One of the most common problems that online casino players complain about is the bonuses that are often promised from any given internet gambling website. Some people try to get away with being tricky with online casinos. What they have seen is people signing up for multiple accounts but go as far as to use different credit cards, names and billing addresses. This is all so then that player can take advantage of that particular online casino’s current promotions. When a player does that it is an immediate red flag for the online casino; which causes the internet gambling website to freeze that particular player’s account.
