Online Casino Conference: 1

Online casinos seem to make news consistently all over the world. Academics are taking more time to learn about the behaviors associated with online casino play and internet gambling addiction. A lot of the talk is due to the United States legislation being in a sort of limbo because of the new administration coming in and no one seems to be sure what direction they will go when it comes to the legislation regarding online casinos in the United States. The problems in Europe seem to be the same as they have been for a while which is their battle with government owned monopolies for the internet gambling sites. The new and improved is providing Asia with a brand new outlook on how to do business in their country even though online casinos are often monopolized there as well.

There is a conference coming up soon that will hopefully provide some answers to the top online casino heads. The meeting will take place in Banff, Alberta, Canada at the Banff Centre. The goal for the meeting will be to bring in the decision makers in the online casino industry to the Canadian Rockies in the very relaxing atmosphere to be able to focus on the topics. The topics which will be discussed will be online casinos and how they relate to policy makers, regulators, researchers and educators. The large conference is being co sponsored by two large online casino research institutes, The Alberta Gaming Research Institute and the University of Lethbridge. This meeting is the eight in a series of conferences that deal with the topics related to online casinos.
