The New York State Racing and Wagering Board approved the recent movement fro mobile gambling. The current gambling system in New York is run by NYRA. Online casinos are out of the question for being legalized in the mobile department seeing as how it is illegal to play for real money at any online casino in any aspect in the United States. Sona Mobile, the company in charge of all of this, has big plans for sports betting on mobile devices. They are currently developing plans to get a rewards program off the ground for people who have P.D.A.’s and/or smart phones.
The way that the mobile company will make a profit from all of this is by retaining a percentage from each wager received. The good thing about having a mobile system for sports betting is that players will be able to have complete and total access to their bets and up to the minute information about the game in question. This is definitely something that an online casino has yet to offer not only in the US but world wide. Online gambling is a hot topic in the United States and horse races are one of the exceptions of the ban. The only way that an American player can access online casinos is if it has sports betting separately from the online slots and poker.
