Poker Players Alliance goes to Washington DC
In the wake of the recent election resulting in such massive change in the
Unites States, this brings hopes to online casino groups such as the Poker
Players Alliance. The Bush administration arguably did a lot of damage to the
United States due to their special interest ties and now even the economy which
they claimed to know so much about is in the toilet. The members of the Poker
Player Alliance are planning their new attack for an Obama administration. They
are going to call on each and every member of the United States’ Federal Reserve
to try to hurry and get their agenda hastily through before the next
administration gets into office and the Democrats take over the Senate.
The Poker Players Alliance wants everyone who is concerned about online casinos
to take note of what they can do to over turn a law that they have been known to
call unconstitutional. The executive director of PPA John Pappas released the
statements urging online casino and poker enthusiasts to not call any of the
federal agencies in charge of our economy, anything that they received will not
be on their list of priorities. The numbers that people should call are: The
Board of Governors, 202-974-7008 or Public Affairs, 202-452-2955.
In order to get all of the people that make phone calls and write letters on the
same page the PPA has released the following facts and items to include in
letters. If the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act is finalized and all
of the rules apply it will only hurt the American economy even more. Government
officials are urged to understand that internet poker played at online casinos
should be exempt because it is simply recreation and a game of skill. The
finalization of the online casino ban will only hurt the US financial system.
This is all according to the PPA and what their website tells users to write to
government officials.
