British Team Wins at PartyPoker.com Event :2
The British Team who was victorious at the online casino hosted 2008 Poker
Nations Cup in a post interview revealed some of the strategy which ultimately
lead their country to victory. They started out their poker playing with
Surinder Sunar. Sunar was chosen as the player to represent Great Britain first
because of how well he did in his individual heat and how tight his image has
been thus far amongst other players at online casinos or any other poker
tournament for that matter. Their next move as far as players go was their
player Joe Beevers. This was a strategic move for the English team as they were
at this moment very close to leading in the chip count.
As Beevers gained a closer lead to the total chip count, de Wolfe substituted
himself for the third round of the online casino poker tournament. This was a
round that he really wanted to take part in and he believes that he had a great
and competitive round against the team from Holland’s player Thierry Van Den
Berg. Since each team was only allowed to choose four players to play in the
final tag team round of the poker tournament, the team captains had very
difficult choices to make. De Wolfe’s final pick was Neil Channing who ended up
bringing the title home by playing like he’s never played before in the fourth
and final round of the long and trying poker tournament. The other two members
of the British team who did not get to participate in this portion of the
tournament, Charlie Durbin and Ian Frazer are still considered “key” players and
vital to the success of their country’s team.
