PokerStars Ban Stands

The online casino, Poker Stars is reconsidering the ban that it put on its players. The website had previously released a statement that their players were not allowed to use the poker information website, SharkScope. SharkScope provides players with a database of information that helps players and may be unfair to those who are on the website and are playing without it. The way that the website can even tell if you are on SharkScope or not is if you are playing at one of the online casinos owned by PokerStars and the IP address of SharkScope gets sent to the PokerStars website you will be sent an email warning you that you will be kicked off the website.

The company has apologized recently for any misunderstandings that this issue may have caused but they stand by their decision. They maintain that the program that hey use for detection is not invading the privacy of the player at all it is simply there to detect the presence of SharkScope while a player is on the PokerStars website. The online casino wants to maintain as much integrity to their games as possible and make it fair for anyone who wants to play the game. So from now on, the only users that will receive the emails from the PokerStars website are the players who have the SharkScope IP address detected while playing a game, not just while they are on the website. The website also says that no other parts of users browsing history is detected with this program.
