Swiss Legalization: 2

The Swiss government is acting quickly and adapting to the new and unfortunate economic climate by reinstating the legalization of online casinos. The newly found legalization comes after many attempts to ban online casino play that have not lead to anything but a sort of witch hunt and a whole lot of prosecution. The conclusion that the Swiss government recently came to is definitely an interesting one and we will see how their decisions affect the rest of the world views online casinos and the internet gambling industry. Previously the Swiss government had similar views as the United States government in regards to online casino play and how it should be governed. So it will be interesting if other countries that tried to completely ban online casino play will eventually come around and decide to regulate as an alternative to banning online gaming completely.

The Swiss online casino regulator, The Federal Casino Commission has released the figures of just how valuable their online casinos arte. The online casino market in Switzerland is estimated to be worth 42 and 67 million Euro. There a lot of tricky issues that surround the legalization and regulation of online casinos. The job of the Swiss government will be to ensure that only people that are physically located in Switzerland are playing at their approved and licensed online casinos. The country is definitely taking the appropriate steps forward to fully having functional and profitable online casinos. The Ministry is currently sending the appropriate paperwork through parliament for final approval.
