President Barack Obama recently announced his nomination for the opening in the Supreme Court. His choice is Judge Sonia Sotomayor. This announcement has come as great news to the Latino community as this would be the first Hispanic woman to be appointed to the Supreme Court of the United States. Any time that a new person get appointed or elected into the United States’ government, the online casino industry goes into a frenzy in order to try to find out how they feel about online casinos and internet gambling sites in general. Online casino operators are chomping at the bit to find out how she feels about the online gaming industry because her decisions could potentially affect the online casino industry greatly. This is not only because she may be serving in the Supreme Court but she has so much influence over Latinos which is a huge demographic that would be great supporters of online casinos.

There has been a lot of buzz around President Barack Obama’s choice for the seat on the US Court of Appeals on the US Supreme Court. The online casino industry has tried to dig deep into the past of the Judge to see exactly how she tends to vote when it comes to online casinos or internet gambling. Sotomayor has already served as a judge over cases that involve the National Football League which is a huge opponent of the online casino industry. The case took place a couple of years ago when two players, Mike Williams and Maurice Clarett, sued the NFL and wanted them to strike a rule that they had with age requirements in the league. Judge Sonia Sotomayor ruled in favor of the National Football League.
