Giga Media to Merge: 2

The news that Giga Media may be in talks with their long time rival Party Gaming for a merge has become huge news for online casinos. It is a little bit early to be talking about how the online casino industry would change if these two mega internet gambling websites and rivals were to indeed merge but that can not stop people from speculating. There are several analysts that have said that this move would be one that Party Gaming has been planning as a part of their corporate growth for the year. This online casino group has already been through lengthy negotiations this year with the United States government. The talks that they were in with the United States government included the online casino’s actions before the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was passed in 2006.

Those particular negotiations with the United States government have stopped the internet gambling website group from entering new deals and partnerships with other online casinos in the past three years. Their name had been sort of tainted due to the pending United States negotiations that Party Gaming was going through. Now that there was a settlement reached by the US government ant the online casino group they are free to continue on about their business as usual. Party Gaming has been a huge player in the International online casino industry and is still a huge player despite all of the mess that is tied to the United States. Their holdings are currently estimated to be valued at $63 million. We will see in the near future whether or not Party Gaming decides to merge with Giga Media.
