Barney Frank’s New Bill
 
Since the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 was passed there have been attempts to over turn it. Supporters of the online casino industry in the United States seem to have an agenda of their own when it comes to the loopholes or legalities that come attached to legalizing online casinos in the United States. Barney Frank is a member of the United States government who has recently written a bill that is supposed to finally bring a form or regulation to the internet gambling in the United States. The only thing that is feared by the online casino industry and the inclination that the United States may have to make it easier for domestic online casino operators to operate their websites in the US while still making it difficult for international online casino companies to operate in the United States.

One gambling expert, Nelson Rose has made his opinions on this issue over the US gambling industries and the online casinos. He says that Frank’s bill would indeed give the United States an advantage in the online casino industry. The American Gaming Association would definitely be favored as well as many US Businesses. There are actually a lot of online casinos that have good standing with the United States and the IRS, like Harrah’s online casino. There is currently a lot of pressure on the government to provide more jobs and tax benefits inside the United States. Rose went on to say that the bill would not include anyone who was, "delinquent in filing any applicable Federal or State tax returns or in the payment of any taxes, penalties, additions to tax, or interest owed to a State or the United States." That is all up to the US government.
