Tokwiro Bans Kentucky
The state of Kentucky has been heavily prosecuting any online casino activity in
the past year. Tokwiro Enterprise announced that they will ban any Kentucky
resident from joining any of their online casinos which include Microgaming
Poker, Merge Poker and Cake Poker. The company announced this news to the
residents of the state of Kentucky via email. The email stated that they would
cut off their access to their websites, effective immediately. If that player
wanted to access their account or the website they would have to do so from a
computer outside of the state of Kentucky. The email also included a link to the
online casino’s cashier and customer services to they could settle any account
that they had open.
Tokwiro did not close all of their online casinos to the people of Kentucky, the
websites still available to them area Bodog poker, Poker Stars, and Full Tilt.
The recent seizures of domains in the state of Kentucky are surely to blame for
the ban of the resident of the state to their online casino sites. If you have
not heard the story, the Governor of Kentucky Steve Beshear, hired lawyers from
Chicago to litigate the people who he suspected were leaders of online casino
rings. He has since been able to seize over 140 domains. Beshear has since
admitted that his motives for cracking down on the online casino industry are
indeed to protect the Horse racing wagering community, as it is taxed. The
Governor has followed through with his promises of confiscating the online
casino domains that were active in the state of Kentucky.
